Harsh has about 25 years of diverse professional experience in across shipping and financial services industries. He is passionate about training and coaching people and helping them achieve their dreams and reach their true potential.
He began his career in Anglo-Eastern Ship Management, Hong Kong as a deck cadet and rose to the rank of Captain of merchant ships. After 15 years of sailing on high seas, Harsh went back to college to obtain his management education. He then joined Goldman Sachs, India as Vice-President in Operations and worked with them for 9 years, his last role being Senior Vice President (Operations), managing their Payment Operations in India.
Harsh is a certified Intelligent Leadership (IL) Coach, trained directly by John Mattone (world’s leading executive coach and former coach of Steve Jobs) and works with C-suite leaders in unlocking their true potential via IL coaching methodology.
Harsh is also a certified Happiness Coach (Berkeley Institute of Wellbeing, California, USA) and helps organizations adopt a culture of happiness, leading to greater productivity, employee retention & higher revenues. He coaches clients on developing personal happiness blueprints and reinventing their lives. He is also a Culture Consultant, helping organizations identify softer cultural challenges, define their higher purpose and core values.
He is an accredited PCC (Professional Certified Coach) level coach with ICF (International Coaching Federation). His current clients include senior leaders across industries such as finance, shipping, consulting and technology. He is a Certified Trainer and NLP Practitioner creates unique content for corporate workshops to make training more impactful and experiential. His practice focus areas include:
Harsh is also a 4-times TEDx speaker, one of the world’s biggest platforms for exchanging and promoting pathbreaking ideas. He is a visiting faculty at St Joseph’s Institute of Management (SJIM), Bangalore, where he teaches “Advanced Operations Management” to MBA students.
Harsh received his graduate degree in Nautical Sciences from University of Mumbai, India and his MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, India. He also received his Captain’s license from Shipping Ministry, Govt of India. During his shipping career, he has been an advanced fire fighter, a medical practitioner and an expert in survival & rescue. Some of his unique experiences include fighting a major fire on a ship, conducting rescue operations at sea, encountering sea-pirates & dealing with major storms in the ocean.
